Which Way to Hold Your Phone
It depends which video you are filming. Mechanics is portrait, because you follow your player and a tall frame keeps the whole body from head to skates filling the screen. The speed test is landscape, because the phone stays still on the boards and both blue lines have to fit.

HOW TO FILM
How to Film Mechanics
Stand at the boards on the side of the ice โ you do not need to move. Your player skates from one goal line to the other at 70โ80% effort. Pan your phone to keep them centered the whole way. One length of the ice gives HLH enough strides to measure every metric.
โ 70โ80% EFFORT
Controlled game-speed. Full strides, full extension. Same mechanics as real play.
โ 100% SPRINT
Full sprint shortens stride and changes mechanics. HLH reads different form.
โ Tell your player: "Skate like you're in the third period โ strong but controlled"
